NEW FedEx Personal Shipper Account
The FedEx Personal Shipper Account was launched in Australia on March 9, 2009. In the past, individual customers needed to provide an Australian Business Number (ABN) to open an account with FedEx.
The introduction of the Personal Shipper Account means that individual customers can now open a FedEx account, without providing an ABN. Customers will need to provide valid credit card details to send shipments using their FedEx account. Once the shipment has been made, the nominated credit card will be auto-debited within a few days.
Customers that have a Personal Shipper Account with FedEx will have access to our FedEx Ship Manager and FedEx Billing Online services. There is also an opportunity to join our FedEx Rewards Centre (FRC) loyalty program, if at least one shipment is made within the first month of opening an account with FedEx.
Companies and organisations will still need to provide their ABN. The Personal Shipper Account is applicable to individual customers only.
You can set-up a Personal Shipper Account by filling out a form at any FedEx World Service Centre, or by calling the Customer Service hotline on 13 26 10.
