FedEx Enhances Services to and from New Zealand

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND – May 18, 2004 – FedEx Express (FedEx), the world's largest express transportation company, today announced major service enhancements for inbound and outbound services to New Zealand.

With immediate effect, the following service enhancements will be available to New Zealand customers:

  • Reduced transit time by one day from Asia, Middle East, & India into New Zealand,

  • Ability to ship from Asia overnight into Auckland,

  • Reduced transit time by one day from Wellington to the United States and Europe,

  • Reduced transit time by one day from Christchurch and Wellington to Australia - including an overnight service to Sydney and Melbourne.


  • The links to global markets will help New Zealand importers and exporters with the ability to get their products from or to Asia, Europe and the US faster and more reliably, enhancing their competitive position in the global market.
