Press Releases
BANGKOK, February 1, 2000 - Federal Express (FedEx) Thailand recently
presented special awards to its Heroes and Super Heroes, as part
of a program that rewards its couriers for showing exemplary service
to customers.
FedEx Thailand launched the program last November by sending out
questionnaires to customers. Each customer rated the FedEx couriers
based on five criteria: helpfulness, courtesy, appearance, professionalism
and timeliness. At the end of the program, 20 FedEx Heroes had been
selected for the months of November and December 1999. Each FedEx
Hero received a 1,000 Baht cheque.
Among the twenty FedEx Heroes, the top three winners were given
the title of FedEx Super Hero. They were Kriengkrai Singhasothornsamut,
Pongsak Suthitak and Chatchai Vongvisetsak. They each received a
3,000 Baht cheque in an award ceremony held in recognition of their
outstanding service. The awards were presented by Mr. Malcolm Sullivan,
FedEx's Managing Director for Marketing, South Pacific.
"In keeping with our global policy to providing outstanding service,
FedEx commends employees who live up to the promise of delivering
superior service. As part of our commitment to our people, we ensure
that all our couriers are equipped with the right tools to serve
our customers, including conducting FedEx training programs. We
encourage all our employees, particularly our couriers who are in
constant contact with customers, to fulfill the company's commitment
to go the extra mile for customers," said Mr. Sullivan.
"At FedEx, we believe people are our most important asset. FedEx
has been built upon the People-Service-Profit philosophy. This means
that if we take care of our people, they will in turn take care
of the customers and that will take care of the profits. This philosophy
ensures that FedEx is a great place to work for all employees.,"
he added.
