FedEx extends cut-off times before Chinese New Year

HONG KONG, February 5, 1999 - Federal Express (FedEx), the world's largest express transportation company, announced today that it will extend its cut-off times in Hong Kong by up to 1? hours on February 6, 12, 13 and 15, with a special Sunday drop-off on February 14. This service enhancement is designed to better serve local customers who need shipments to be delivered before the Chinese New Year holidays.

FedEx remains committed to providing fast, reliable service from Hong Kong to destinations worldwide. The extended hours will offer local customers more convenient shipping services. On February 6, 12, 13 and 15, the call-in cut-off time for shipments to the US east coast and to Europe will be extended until 5:00pm. The call-in cut-off time for shipments to the US west coast and AsiaOne cities will be extended to 7:00pm on February 12 and 15, and to 5:00pm on February 6 and 13. Additionally, the cut-off time for station drop-off has been extended to 5:30pm for shipments to the US east coast on all dates, and to 7:30pm for shipments to the US west coast and AsiaOne cities on February 12 and 15. On February 6 and 13, the cut-off time for station drop-off will be extended to 5:30pm. A special Sunday drop-off will also be available on February 14th from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.
