FedEx delivers world's fastest race cars to Japan

FedEx as official carrier of the CART Series operates 3 charters to transport 52 CART race cars to Japan

Tokyo, April 4, 1999-Federal Express (FedEx), the world's largest express transportation company, today delivered 52 championship cars from Indianapolis to Japan. FedEx is the official transporter of the '99 FedEx Championship Series, organized by Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART).

The Japan race will be held over three days starting April 8 at Super Speedway, Japan's first full-scale oval racing course, at Twin Ring Motegi in Tochigi.

In addition to participating in this series as the title sponsor, FedEx is also the official carrier for the event, transporting championship cars and racing equipment for the sponsors and racing teams.
