Repex Receives ISO Certification

FedEx licensee recognized for quality management system

JAKARTA, April, 1999 - PT Repex Perdana International (Repex), the Indonesia licensee of Federal Express (FedEx), the world's largest express transportation company, today received its certificate of ISO-9002 status.

The Switzerland-based certification body, SGS, conducted audits of Repex's operations over a six-month period before certifying the quality management systems at Repex. With these systems, Repex now uses the same systems to manage service quality that FedEx uses in its global operations.

Mr. Harsha Joesoef, President Director of PT Repex Perdana International, said, "I have been dedicated to developing a domestic/national express transportation organization, both in quality of operations and people. ISO-9002 certification shows our commitment to those goals."

FedEx first received ISO-9001 worldwide certification in 1994 on a world-wide basis and then re-certified in 1997.

Mr. David Pearson, Senior Technical Advisor to FedEx, said, "FedEx is proud of Repex's achievement, and through our licensee we look forward to continuing to deliver high-quality service to our customers in Indonesia."
