TOKYO, July 19, 2000- FedEx (David J. Ross, Vice President
of North Pacific Region), the world's largest express transportation
company, today announced that they will provide the express
transportation service at the Kyushu-Okinawa Summit Meeting
2000. FedEx is the only express service provider to have
a service booth at the Summit for the demands there.
FedEx will set-up a service booth in the International Media
Center in Nago-city in Okinawa prefecture and Press Center
in Fukuoka-city in Fukuoka prefecture.
Duration of this service in Okinawa is from July 19th through
24th. This service in Okinawa became possible with the partnership
with Nippon Express Co. Ltd. (Nittsu). During the Summit,
FedEx staff will be at the Okinawa Air Cargo Service, Nittsu's
subsidiary's service booth in the International Media Center
to take drop-off packages. The Okinawa Air Cargo Service
will handle domestic transportation to and from Okinawa,
and then FedEx, utilizing its unparalleled global air transportation
network, will transport packages to the final destination
fast and time-definitely.
The service in Fukuoka will be from July 6th through 9th.
FedEx Booth will be set-up in the Press Center. FedEx staffs
will be at the booth to take drop-off packages.

service outside main population centers in Japan. By combining
Nittsu's precise domestic network and our global transportation
network, packages that are collected at the Summit will be
able to be transported to over 210 countries within 24 to
48 hours said David J. Ross, Vice President of North Pacific
Region.
