FedEx Station Opens in West Jakarta

JAKARTA, October 12, 2001 - PT Repex Perdana International, the sole licensee of Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) in Indonesia, today opened a new service location in West Jakarta to accommodate customer demand in the areas of Kebon Jeruk, Cengkareng, and Tangerang.

The newest FedEx station is located at Jalan Terusan Tol # 50A, Kebon Jeruk, along the highway between Tangerang and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Cengkareng. The station is staffed by 39 employees, and nine motorcycles and nine vans are available to handle pick-up and deliveries of domestic and international packages in the surrounding area.

This new facility contains loading and unloading areas, service counters, offices, and a warehouse managed by a sister company of PT Repex Perdana International. The facility is guarded 24 hours a day.

"The opening of the Kebon Jeruk location shows our commitment to enhance our level of services to our customers around Kebon Jeruk, Cengkareng and Tangerang. These areas are home to manufacturers and industries that use air express shipping services, so it makes sense for us to be close to our customers," said Harsha E. Joesoef, President Director of PT Repex Perdana International.

The new station brings to 29 the number of drop-off locations throughout the country.
