BANGKOK, December 14, 1999 -- Federal Express (FedEx), the world's
largest express transportation company, has invested in a new fleet
of thirty-four brand new vans in efforts to enhance its services
to its Thai customers.
The new vans will be used for FedEx's pickup and delivery operations
around Bangkok. This investment is part of the company's reorganization
plan following its recent move to full ownership and management
of its operations in Thailand.
The L300L models were recently delivered by Mitsubishi Motors to
Mr Ken Mouldey, FedEx Thailand Senior Manager. "This additional
fleet of vans will enable us to provide our Thai customers with
more efficient services. In addition to being able to accommodate
the increasing demand for our service, we will also be able to provide
faster and more reliable service," said Mr. Mouldey.
"The arrival of these new vans follow the launch of our latest
"We Live to Deliver" advertising campaign. These vans will certainly
be "moving billboards" and a tangible example of our commitment
to our local customers to delivering on time, through thick or thin,"
he added.
